What is The Computational Psychiatry Pre-Conference?

The Computational Psychiatry Pre-Conference is a one-day workshop and symposium (approximately 10:00 AM–6:30 PM) designed to prepare early-career researchers for the main conference while fostering collaboration and skill-building.

Cost: FREE. This CPC Pre-Conference has no registration fee.

Registration & Waitlist:

When registering for a member-only trainee or postdoc ticket, please indicate whether you are interested in participating in the trainee pre-conference. The local committee will confirm your participation via email. Please note this event is first-come, first-served and limited to 75 people. NOTE: Indicating interest during registration does not guarantee your spot. Your spot, or your position on the waitlist, will be confirmed via email soon after registration.

What to Expect:

●      Overview of the field’s history and current directions

●      Hands-on methods workshops (e.g., natural language processing, model fitting)

●      Small-group discussions on methodological approaches (e.g., formal theories, LLMs, decision-making models, neuroimaging) and clinical applications (e.g., eating disorders, suicide, stress)

●      Professional development panel with Drs. Robb Rutledge, Shirley Wang and Philip Corlett

●      Networking during a hosted social hour

Whether you're new to computational psychiatry or already engaged in the field, this pre-conference provides an accessible, supportive environment to deepen your knowledge and build lasting collaborations.

Who should attend?

Undergraduates, post-baccalaureates (RAs, lab managers), graduate and medical students, postdocs, medical residents, and other trainees.
