Computational Psychiatry Conference Code of Conduct

CPC2026 should be an enjoyable and safe experience for everyone. We are committed to providing the best possible circumstances in which event attendees can positively and safely share their research and exchange their ideas. CPC2026 is dedicated to providing a harassment-free event experience for everyone, regardless of age, sex and gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, nationality, race, or religion. We expect our attendees to contribute to a professional and respectful atmosphere. All attendees, speakers, sponsors, organisers, and volunteers are required to comply with the CPC2026 Code of Conduct both at the actual conference venues and sites where CPC2026 is being conducted. Organisers and volunteers will enforce this code throughout the event to ensure a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone. The steering committee may expel from the Society and from the conference and associated events any individual whose actions are judged not to be in keeping with the values, reputation, or purpose of the Society.

Expected Behavior. CPC2026 expects participants to communicate professionally and constructively, whether in person or over electronic media, handling dissent or disagreement with an open mind that is respectful towards alternate points of view. Likewise, when sharing information about the organization or any attendees, CPC2026 expects participants to share responsibly and clearly distinguish individual opinion from fact.

What to Do. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns about an individual, please contact the Society by email (cpc@cpconf.org). CPC2026 strongly supports an individual’s interest in confidentiality and will handle all reports with sensitivity. Information related to a report of harassment will only be disclosed on a “need to know basis” for the purposes of investigating and resolving the report. If an individual requests anonymity, honoring that request may limit CPC2026 ability to respond fully to the reported behavior. CPC2026 will carefully consider whether it can honor an individual’s request for anonymity to the extent permitted by local law and while still providing a safe and non-discriminatory environment for all.

Retaliation Is Prohibited. CPC2026 will not tolerate any form of retaliation against persons who file a report or assist in any investigation of the report. Retaliation is a serious violation of the CPC2026 code of conduct and, like harassment or discrimination itself, will be subject to serious consequences.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior. The Society will determine the appropriate course of action in the case of credible findings of misconduct. Possible actions include warning the offender, expulsion from the Society and conference with a possibility of no refund, and banning the offender from CPC events and activities. The steering committee reserves the right to notify an employer or home institution of a report of serious misconduct involving one of its employees, trainees, students, or members and will cooperate with any external investigation into such a report.

All participants are expected to observe these rules and behaviors in all CPC2026 sponsored venues, including online and social events.
